I made this video for my customers in Virginia, but it really is useful to anyone who wants to know the truth about SEO. There’s an incredible amount of false hype out there about SEO and about what it can really do for you. I got sick of taking phone calls from panicked customers desperate to know how to get to the top of the search rankings for their business, so I decided to make a video that encapsulates the message I routinely give them in these calls. The gist of my message is this. No one can guarantee that your website can move to the top of the rankings, and if they do guarantee it, they’re lying. Since Google came along in 1998, search engine rankings were taken out of the hands of webmasters, and the result was searches that were 1000% better for the users doing those searches.
