SEO and Article Writing

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

SEO and Article Marketing complement each other to provide you with the appropriate solution for a website promotion that you may want.

Keep aside the pay-per-click campaigns and the ezine advertisement campaigning, etc. There is nothing more that you could ask than for free advertisements that appear on the index listings of all major search engines.

Why should we pay to have an advertisement on the right hand side of search engines that everybody knows is an advertisement? When you are listed on the left hand side everyone regards that as being linked to authoritative sites. Not just that it comes free, but it is even more prestigious than what we pay for PPC on search engines. Is it not?

Appropriate search engine marketing can do that for you with little effort from article marketing to give your promotional campaign a good start. Additionally, giving a few back links to your website via the author’s Resource Box will help the search engine spiders to crawl to your site because search engines will look for the links back to a site (in fact a page on the site) meaning it is an indication of the relevance of your web page/pages for the particular keyword being used by the customer from a particular search engine looking for that information.

The keyword terms are commonly those that are typed in most commonly by the users to identify what is called strategic content or information. For example a person who wants to pursue a home-based business with EDC Diamond program will type it as a keyword on search engines. In fact the phrase will be broken to three words by different search engines and then they look through the index of crawled web pages for these three words and the page with most relevance to the 3 words namely the program will get listed on top and so on those words with little relevance will come down in the list.

Also if the keywords are unique you get more and useful hits, meaning better conversion rates and even a sale or two. More than that SEO will help to move your website up the list towards success which is very important.

Of course, there is more to it than that. A site with a good deal of relevance and good content with reference to the program will be listed above one with a poor content even if it happens to be the title of the web page. A site with all the three words will be listed top if it has good relevant and worthy content.

If you have a web page optimized for the three words surprisingly your page may get top listing on all of the search engines, but remember people should be searching those 3 words together after all in a single search.

SEO and article marketing can be integrated with a common objective to achieve the highest possible listing for the content on the web page because search engines generally list web pages but not domains per se.

Postgrad SEO – Using Web 2.0 Instead of Article Marketing to Promote your Book

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

Just too good an idea to pass up.

Health keeps coming up as some outrageously searched-for keyword. Helps that ‘Boomers are getting older (and Europe/Japan have worse problems than ours) and so they are all interested in extending their health and lives.

Search Google Trends for “health, life, nutrition, diet, fitness”. See what I mean? The things that would save their health and improve their lives (good food and exercise) are lower ranked than the goals themselves – which makes sense once you think about it. (But if you want to check for a sheep mentality, look up “life insurance” or “health insurance” – which are completely solutions for the after-the-fact-problem of losing your health or losing your life.) Health and Life are re-active scenes – the people who are proactive are more the minority.

But – searching various keyword programs for “life health” gives low response. Few people search for this combination.

So you wouldn’t use that combination as anything on your pages or link text. (I can think of some catchy book titles with these two, however…)

However, your mini-web could use various versions of these above in the page titles in order to capture those niche Google-search positions…

And I have a ton of PLR articles which are useless for article marketing, but prime for ebooks.

Of course, this is all old-hat stuff.

Enter Web 2.0

The test is if videos can replace articles. Now, I don’t have a great deal of video sites like YouTube. Frankly, like my tests in article marketing, it doesn’t much pay to submit to very many to get the key effects you want, which is people finding and buying your book.

Now, the recent research (and it worked for me, too) is that videos and social bookmarking, as well as blogging, get to the top of Google faster.

With TTS, and these short PLR articles, I could conceivably produce a video a day, based on the content of that ebook. You’d then become some sort of expert on health-related stuff. Sort of. Just like article marketing – on steroids.

Sequence is to create the ebook first – post to Lulu. (My clickbank is bugged, this would be preferable, since you could sell the book via affiliates and increase your sales.)

Take the text articles, add audio headers and footers – create the TTS audio (save in own directory).

Build your master mini-web, using your main keyword phrase you selected. This promotes the book. FTP that up and getting running.

Take time here and set up your opt-in page for that subject. Plug in some articles to your autoresponder sequence.

For each MP3 audio, make a video using clipart and stock photos. (Camtasia…)

Post the videos on YouTube and the MP3′s on Internet Archives.

As you post each video, create a new mini-web which links to the first one (and gives it all the pagerank). Each media file links to your Lulu product, but has individual keyword niches (where most of your geek time will be spent, other than making the videos.) Each mini-web also invites people to opt-in for more information on the subject.

Social bookmark each video and MP3 and mini-web index page as you post them.

Blog each video and link to the MP3 and mini-web. Social bookmark that blog-entry.

What you are doing is creating a buzz for each of these inter-related keyword niches. You rise to the top in each of these niches – which in turn give their pagerank over to your main mini-web, which promotes the book (as do all the sub-webs on your mini-net).

And all that should add up to a nice set of Google Page Rank which plops viewers to your main mini-net page and sells books. Plus it should give you a number of subscribers to your list, where you can interest them in other related products.

Just to add frosting to the cake, sign up with some affiliate programs which pay you per lead for insurance policies. Put these links prominently on your site and rake in some extra income.

It’s simply a test of video’s and article marketing

This is a test just to see if you can get faster response than the months it takes to get some volume out of article marketing. Certainly you wind up at the top of Google faster – but does it translate to sales? Sure, there are lots of factors present. And TTS is a cheesy way (perhaps) of making soundtracks for videos.

But it would be an interesting concept-test. Definately worth a test drive…

Article Marketing – The Proven New Seo Mantra

Monday, January 24th, 2011

This is an introduction for the beginners to the powerful world of Article Marketing.

What is Article Marketing?

Recently SEO expert Jim Boykin was asked a question “Content or links?”. According to him both are equally important. The days of just relying on links for the most part are history now.

You have a good web site with lot of useful and original stuff, but you are not getting enough traffic from Search Engines. Your analysis points to lack of back links coming from web sites with high PRs. You are wondering how to fill this void. This is where Article Marketing comes into picture. It is this space that Article Marketing fills.

Search engines give a lot of importance to back links coming from sites with higher Page Ranks. And almost all good sites with higher PRs are hungry for good content. Search Engines tend to give importance to sites with compelling content provided they have good number of votes (back links) too.

So, How Does Article Marketing Work?

To understand this, we need to understand the terminology and the players in this game.

The Author: One who owns the content and it is his details that the Author Resource Box will contain.

Author Resource Box: This is nothing but a small paragraph about the author. It typically contains the name of the author, his/her professional/personal capacity which makes him/her an authority for the content, the web site that he/she belongs to and a few words from the author addressing the reader.

Article Directory/ Distribution Service: This typically is a free repository for the authors to submit their articles. Once the editors of these directories approve, the article goes live on the directory.

The Publisher: These are webmasters looking for high quality content to enrich their web sites. They browse these directories and pick the interesting articles, relevant to their sites. The TOS of the Distribution Service dictates that they publish the article “as is”, including the “Author Resource Box”.

That’s it. Now you have high quality one-way links from web sites (many a time with high PRs) to your site. In the eyes of Search Engines, the higher the number of these links are, the higher are the votes for your page and higher your page’s importance is.

Thus Article Marketing helps the link building aspect of SEO for you and the content aspect for the publishers.

There are also article publishing services that charge as low as $1 per article. These sites proactively publicize your content to tens of thousands of webmasters through their mailing lists (please note that this is not spam, mostly these will be registered users).

OK. Now that we understand the mechanics of this link building exercise, let us focus on writing good articles that are likely to be picked up by webmasters to be included in their sites and thus giving you the much needed votes (links).

Keep the content as generic as possible. Better if it is not about a particular web site nor about the products you promote. After all, the webmasters want useful content not some marketing buzz.

Research, Research and Research. Get a grasp on the topic you intend to write. Let the content flow from your understanding. Continuity is very important. After all you are taking the reader through your thoughts and your understanding of the topic at hand. See your article through the eyes of the reader.

While style is a matter of comfort, I usually enjoy reading articles where the author talks to me personally and that is naturally my style as well.

Good authors usually end articles with a summary section with highlights and a conclusion. Make sure that your Author resource box is interesting and tempting enough for readers to opt to look you up.

Follow the usual writer’s checklist, like spell check, grammar check and good formatting.

** Important **: Author Resource Box is the sole reason for the creation and distribution of your articles. Write a simple and professional one or two line introduction about yourself, your web site and where to reach you. Please understand the philosophy behind the ads getting clicked more if they are at the end of a good article. This can be a great way to get good targeted traffic apart from getting the much needed votes.

That is all there is to know about article marketing. You have now understood how the content you provide fetches good links to your site/pages. You are now familiar with the mechanics of how article marketing works and the importance of author resource box.

You are fully equipped now. Get going. Give your creative powers the much needed vent, earn powerful back links and prosper.

Seo – Bum Marketing And Article Directories

Sunday, January 23rd, 2011

Bum marketing is a way of using articles, either your own or those you have purchased, as platforms into which you will embed affiliate links. The best article sites to submit articles on to use for this purpose are Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com and Searchwarp.com, which are all include massive article directory sites and are at the top of the Google search engine rankings.

One of the goals of doing this is to get your affiliate links on Google’s first page. This is done by choosing keywords that are not popular so that you do not attract window shoppers and untargeted traffic. These do not have to be great articles. They just have to be accurate and have the right search engine tools.

These ezine and article directories also prefer submitted articles that are more specialized than usual. For instance an article entitled “How to teach your budgie to talk” would probably have more sales than one entitled “Caring for a budget.” This is because there is too much competition for general words like budgie and care (words that will get you buried deep in the search engine.) So before you submit an article take the time to find that “niche that will make you rich!”

One of the most popular places to submit SEO articles is GoArticles.com. This site is perfect for a new person to Internet marketing that does not have a website because GoArticles allows you to link directly to the merchant website and make your commission that way.

Yet another lucrative place to submit your SEO material is EzineArticles. This is a very popular and powerful site. EzineArticles will get you listed on the first page of search engines with up to 10,000 (ten thousand) competing results. The drawbacks are you need to write a half decent article as a real person reviews them before they published.

Tips for SEO Article Submission

Friday, January 21st, 2011

For companies looking to increase their online presence, article submission has become a popular way to climb up the SERPs. Article directories are filled with millions of articles on every topic imaginable. Online marketers can use these directories to their advantage by publishing relevant content on these sites consistently. Inbound links and high rankings are just a couple of the benefits of submitting an article, but to guarantee you get the most out of your submission, follow these tips.

  1. Optimize the Content- The most important aspect of your article submission is ensuring the content is properly optimized. Each article should focus around a relevant keyword. The keyword should be in the title and spread naturally throughout the content. The reason I say “naturally” is I believe focusing on using your keywords in a way that sounds natural is more important than trying to achieve a particular keyword density. Natural content reads better than an article trying desperately to artificially achieve a certain keyword count.
  2. Make Your Article Unique- The phrase “content is king” has been used to the point of exhaustion. Many people run with this mantra and believe in publishing as much content as possible. While my livelihood is based off convincing clients to create more content, I never do so just for the sake of writing another article. The internet is overflowing with useless content serving no other purpose than to take up space. To separate yourself from the pack, you should only create articles containing compelling, relevant information. If your content is stale, readers will see right through your marketing ploy and will avoid using your company.
  3. Use Keyword Rich Anchor Text- One of the benefits of submitting articles to a directory is it creates one way links to your website. While inbound links are vital to improving your page rank, many article writers are missing out on a big opportunity to get more juice out of these links. The directories give you the option of controlling the anchor text of your inbound links. Therefore, you should create keyword rich links to your website. Furthermore, you should try to create deep links to your website. In other words, don’t just link to the homepage. Instead, link to deeper content pages, and optimize the link for this page’s keyword.
  4. Avoid Duplicate Content- Generating fresh SEO content on a consistent basis can be a difficult task. After a while, it may seem you are saying the same thing over and over again. However, you must be careful to ensure this doesn’t happen. Duplicate content can hurt your site by causing it to get pushed down the search engine rankings. The content you publish on an article submission directory should not be the same as the text on your website. If you want to guarantee the content is unique, use a program like Copyscape to check it against other websites.
  5. Create Easy to Read Articles- Readers online don’t view content in the same manner as traditional readers. Looking at a computer screen is much more taxing on the eyes than reading a newspaper. As a result, online readers tend to scan text instead of reading it word for word. For this reason, you should create short paragraphs with bold, descriptive headings. This allows readers to scan the document to see if it interests them. If the headings capture their attention, they might decide to read through the entire article.

Article Marketing Can be a Strong, Solid Component of Your SEO Campaign!

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

Is Article Marketing Still Valid? Article marketing was one of the early forms of search engine marketing that many companies employed to gather links back to their site. It was a reliable method to reach customers because a well written article could deliver links and traffic. For more details go to: www.article-writing-secret.com The best news was that other sites might pick up that article and post it on their own site, further propagating the links and the possibility of new traffic.

Unfortunately, like so many other things in the SEO industry, people began to try to employ this strategy in less than ethical ways. This could include spamming the article sites with countless slightly-modified versions of the same article, for more detail filling the article with content that was nothing but gibberish – lots of keywords – but mostly gibberish. As such and as always happens when people try to exploit a methodology, the search engines quickly caught on and devalued the process, and sometimes penalized for it. With that being the case, one needs to ask, is article marketing still a valid option?

The short answer is, if you do it right, yes it is.

Of course, even done right, it may not have the same weight that it once did, but it can still be an effective means by which new customers can learn about your site. And it doesn’t matter if they come straight through your articles or through your high ranking position on the search engines. Either way, you can still see some good results.

Links are one of the most important parts of your search engine ranking. These are considered a type of vote for your site. Unfortunately, not all votes are equal in this online world. For can visit to: www.ezines-success.com a vote from a large and popular site is worth quite a bit more than a vote from a run-of-the-mill site. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t make something from those smaller sites. Generally speaking, this means that an article in the range of 600 to 1000 words will be just about right. This gives you plenty of space to detail a message, but keeps it short and sweet so you don’t lose them before they even get a chance to click on your link.

By following some of these simple measures you can find a lot of success online. Article marketing can be a strong, solid component of your SEO campaign. If you want to be found online. A single link or two won’t do you much good in a world of competition that is always increasing their own links. You will have to consistently increase yours if you want to keep up.

A steady stream of new, one way links to your site can be a tremendous benefit. And this can be achieved if you can consistently produce good articles. This links are perhaps not as valuable as the links from larger sites, but they are a strong foundation nevertheless. And that sort of foundation does, in fact, mean that article marketing is still a valid resource.

Using Unique Article Marketing to Jazz Up Your SEO Campaign

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Article marketing is a powerful tool that can be used to get your rankings up with the search engines. There is however a method to the madness that goes far beyond writing good quality articles. The only way in which you can make use of your well written articles is to master the science of article marketing and come up with a truly unique campaign.

There is no doubt about the fact that article marketing can be used to drive traffic to your website. This process generally includes writing relevant and targeted articles and then having them submitted on to the many free article directories on the internet. The whole process takes some investment in terms of time and money but eventually you can have the right kind of traffic storming to your website.

Using good quality content and valuable information as bait

When it comes to catching the fish on the internet you have to be spot on with your article writing. People will be reading your article to get valuable information and if you can provide them with the information that they are looking for then you’ve got a great chance of directing them to your website using back links.

One of the key features of submitting your articles to the online directories is adding back links in the body so as to direct the reader back to your website. You can also do this by writing up a resource box at the end of the article which will contain the link to your website. A persuasive article with a link that directs the reader to your website at the end is the ideal combination that serves as the bait to catch your target audience.

Since you will be submitting your article on to free article directories your articles will be free for webmasters to pick up and put up on their websites. This further opens a plethora of opportunities to attract more traffic as your informative article gets published on different websites containing back links.

The importance of Quality over quantity

As such there is no limit to the number of articles that you can submit online. Yet again there is a method to the madness that must be followed if you want to create a truly unique article marketing strategy. Common sense dictates that the more articles you have out there containing back links to your website the greater the chances are of attracting more traffic and thereby increasing your rankings with the search engines. Ask any professional seo company and they well tell you that it is much better to locate the top ten directories and have your articles submitted in them rather than have hundreds of articles being submitted on hundreds of crappy directories.

By submitting the same article containing back links to hundreds of directories you will actually be categorized as spam by Google and other search engines. Eventually only a few of your back links will survive. Not only will this be a waste of time and money it will also have an adverse effect on your rankings rather than taking you up.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you should only submit one article in one directory because the search engine will be indexing the article when it is published. This can prove to be quite costly. There is however a unique article marketing strategy that you can use to overcome this problem and that is to have a number of different variations of the same article. The best way to do this is to have title variations for each article. As an additional measure to ensure that you utilize the full potentials of each written article you should always social bookmark your article to top bookmarking sites like propeller, digg and the like.

To sum it all up there are two key elements to unique article marketing that any article marketing service will be offering you. One is the writing up of unique articles and the other is to create an effective article marketing campaign. With these two elements combined you will be able to experience a boost in your search engine rankings. The only thing left for you to do now is to look for professional SEO company that can offer you unique article marketing service.

Easy Licensing Pro Vs Article Marketing PPC and SEO

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

Easy licensing pro vs. article marketing, pay per click and SEO, which is the best way to make money on the net? Lets have a look at these ways and see what is involved to earn any money with each method. They will all make money for you but at what price?

So far easy licensing pro has received a lot of praise and positive reviews and I would agree with them. A 20-year-old college student who took a simple idea and made it so easy that anyone can use it without a large learning curve of very much investment created it.

With it you do not need either a website or a product of your own to be able to earn a income from it. Easy licensing pro does not require any writing such as bum marketing or article marketing.

Bum marketing or article marketing is where you write articles and submit them to article directories. It has no out of pocket cost unless you hire a ghostwriter who will write the articles for you. Article marketing works very well if you have no money to invest. Article marketing works best using long tailed keywords. You can make more money quicker with easy licensing pro and it is also free after the initial investment.

So can you make money with pay per click marketing? Also call (PPC) yes you can make a great deal using it but without knowing what you are doing you can lose your shirt. You will need to spend great amounts of time and money studying ant testing what works and its best to start off with a set daily budget so as not lose a lot of money on a campaign that does not make enough profit. And even at that your going to be spending lots of money to make a descent income every month.

Affiliate programs can be a good way to make money also. But without a good e-mail list of your own it also takes up a lot of time and money depending on how you wish to promoting them, either you will need to do a lot of article marketing or (PPC) or invest money in some form of marketing affiliate programs, you may want to learn SEO and build your own list if you want to succeed at affiliate programs.

Personally I like the easy licensing pro method the best, it is easy to learn, cost you nothing after the first small investment and you have very little competition. All the ways I have talked amount here will make you money is they are done the right way but for my money I’m going with easy licensing pro.

Empowering Your Website SEO Campaign With Unique Article Marketing
